I’ve been staring at my screen for a while, because I think I might have erased several files inadvertently.
Oops.
I can’t figure out how to stick an emoji face here; but I can think of a few I’d like to insert.
…should have saved those things someplace else, I guess.
Such is the life of somebody trying to be a writer.
What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?
I did Day 93 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writer’s Lab.
Since the poem I thought I’d recorded has gone “poof”, I’m sitting here trying to figure out a better system for saving files from Twisted Wave and Canva – both have a rather confusing way of hiding files – like they think I want to play “Where’s Waldo?” with my work…
In an effort to not get discouraged, I’ll just add that I went to my Writing Group today, submitted a rough draft for a story, helped someone go through illustrations they are having designed for a children’s book series, and listened to more of “Atomic Habits” and “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”, among some other things.
The day hasn’t gone quite like I planned – like it wasn’t on my list to spray gas on my leg and hands when I went to fill my tanks for lawnmowing season; but stuff like that happens, I suppose.
Anyhow… I think I’ll sign off and try to figure out how to get my bearings better squared away with Canva. The wind is whistling too much to re-record anything with Twisted Wave.
Thanks for reading what I’m writing,
Jody Susan
Speaking of poems, here’s one from a while back…
