My Journey to Become a Writer 03/18/2024 Post #78

My energy levels have been in a lull lately.

Instead of getting discouraged, I’m trying to utilize this season of added rest to listen to more audiobooks.

“The Last Bookshop in London” by Madeline Martin is one I’m halfway through – and I just started it yesterday.

There have been some beautiful sunrises and sunsets lately:

I’m so grateful for these beautiful skyscapes to start and end my days.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 78 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through LA Writer’s Lab.

I also participated in my memoir group where two members shared excerpts from their work. It’s fascinating to hear stories from other people as they are unfolding from their minds into print form. I’m thankful to go through this process with them.

Not much news besides that.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

My Instagram photos reminded me of this poem my grandma wrote:

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
