This was another day of trying to not do anything extra.
Maybe I’ll talk more about that tomorrow.
What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?
I did Day 66 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through LA Writer’s Lab and participated in my women’s writing class, where we wrote responses to several prompts and shared our work.
I tried to make progress on my memoir; but pretty much got stuck. It’s so hard to know what to cut out and what to leave.
I’m hoping to have it down below 100,000 words and turned into agents before the end of March; but we’ll see what happens.
I was laughing the other day when I saw this clip, because it felt so familiar to me trying to pitch to an agent (not that I have upcoming interviews – just similarities in nervous speed talking issues):
The other difference is that I haven’t done diddly squat to work on my Instagram posting lately. Someday maybe I’ll dust off that platform and dive in. Until then –
Thanks for reading what I’m writing,
Jody Susan
That concept reminds me of the picture from this post:
