Woo-Hoo!
What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?
I wrote that sentence up above – and used an exclamation point – even though I thought it was a little much. That’s a huge growth spurt in my comfort level when it comes to self-expression.
(I’m consoling my typically reticent self that I suppose it could be taken as sarcasm – which is my particular form of self-protection.
But then again, I’m trying not to be so sarcastic…)
I did Day 100 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writer’s Lab.
I also dismantled the inner-workings of my freezer to protect myself from food poisoning, since when I reached in the fridge this morning, I was greeted by a warm carton of cream.
I just ate some highly questionable salmon for supper. It tasted good; but my stomach may start churning like the North Atlantic…
I’ll let you know if my night turns into something worth describing in a Herman Mehlville book.
Thanks for reading what I’m writing,
Jody Susan
P.S. I’m continuing to look back at where I was 99 days ago to see if I’ve made progress. My assessment is that I’ve settled down some, gained a little confidence, and slashed my word count. That seems like three wins for the discipline of writing every day. Take a look at the post below to see a side by side comparison:
