My Journey to Become a Writer 02/21/2024 Post #52

It’s Day 52, which seems so fitting, because I pretty much played “52 Pick Up”.

Nobody tossed a deck of cards on the ground; but I probably made all sorts of faces sorting through boxes and shifting items from one place to the next.

I do feel like the chaos is much more orderly; but it’s still there.

At least I have my living room floor back from the invasion of dry erase boards that took place a few days ago.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 52 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through LA Writer’s Lab.

I worked more on my business card. Canva is kickin’ my can.

Canva is a handy tool; but there are so many options that the perfectionist in me is probably taking too much time on this project.

I emptied a room upstairs to turn into my “writing strategy headquarters” – at least for right now.

I met with a group of women through LA Writer’s Lab. We discussed our work and did some writing prompts.

Okay, it’s 7:28 p.m. – and I’m trying to be disciplined about shutting down at a more reasonable time, so I’m signing off.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

Here’s a humiliating story I’ve shared before that also includes one of my best writing tips:

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
