Well, this is the last one.

I did it.

I wrote a post for every day of the year.

It feels both monumental and like no bid deal.

There were days I missed and made up for.

I haven’t made up my mind, if I’ll do it again.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

• Did Day 366 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab
• Decided on logos for Plasticback Books, Jody Susan Writes, and my Full Circle Story Series
• Posed for a whole bunch of pictures to prepare for the next phase of my website
• Recorded a “Short Course” to follow my book. It’s “9 Holes I’ve Fallen Into Caregiving” or something close. That idea was actually super helpful, because I had to say things quickly and couldn’t keep redoing the video. I don’t know if anyone will want to watch it, but to me, the advice I shared is definitely worth the twenty dollars I plan to charge (which happens to be the “green fee”)
• Wrote yesterdays post, since I missed it
• Tried to think through what I’m going to do about this for next year

My Office Management Strategy to Cut Down on Distractions as a Writer

Maybe next year needs to be “How To Become an Office Manager”, because I do want to work on that. My strategy right now is to slow down quite a bit – like when a truck puts itself in granny speed. I think I’ll have more pulling power and won’t be so prone to spin my wheels. My mindset right now is to work on “Becoming an Editor” by editing my life – my schedule, my stuff, my cyber world, etc…

Well, it has been a long, long year. I’m grateful for the progress I feel like I’ve made, though I’m not sure how much I have to show for it. Hopefully soon some of this work will start to bear fruit.
