My Journey to Become a Writer 12/23/2024 Post #358

I’m a day behind once again. The end of this “one year to become a writer” is coming around the bend, but sometimes I feel like I haven’t made it too far.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 358 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab. I did a whole lot of editing. ProWritingAid has been pretty helpful, but something has gone wrong with the quote corrector. It forces me to pick between curly and straight quotes, and then starts taking out letters and sticking more quotes in instead. I hope my book’s not totally messed up from all that – it’s been hard to catch everything.

I tried to arrange a meeting for a book proposal, but there was a mix-up, and I misunderstood what state we were speaking about. So, that will have to be done through email.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

The post down below from 99 days ago reminds me that I am getting better than before. I’m grateful for that.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
