My Journey to Become a Writer 12/13/2024 Post #348

Informative Image

I had the wrong pre-publish date on this, so a while back I posted:

Oops – I just realized I never posted this.

I had company in town, so that’s my “excuse”.

That was November 13th, not December – but I did have company again today…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

  • Did Day 348 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab
  • Finally finished editing my audiobook 🥳
  • Participated in Quiet Friday
  • Set up my ACX account for Audible
  • Updated my KDP account and took down two manuscripts that need to be revamped
  • Tried to refamiliarize myself with Scrivener, so I can get ready to edit and publish my manuscript
  • Got lost in the process
  • Looked for the link to a Zoom meeting and missed it completely – That’s okay – I plan to watch the recording Monday
  • Worked on my book cover
  • Had my weekly call to keep myself on track and was encouraged not to pick puke green as the cover of my manuscript – even if it is paired with pink, it’s still pretty bad
  • Worked on my cover some more and picked out more colors for future possibilities

My Marketing & Distribution Strategies for Publishing & Improving My Platform

I’ve been posting a little bit more on social media. I’m beginning to have people ask me about my book and stories, so I guess the buzz is beginning…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago talked about unpacking – I’m glad I got my plates unwrapped, so they could be ready for feeding people.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
