Today is 11/26 – I’ve fallen behind with this, because I’ve been rushing forward…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 328 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and spent a good deal of the day trying to set up my sound booth room. I got a big blackboard cleaned in hopes of teaching courses from it, or at least displaying thumbnails in the future, and I constructed and re-constructed my desk for recording, editing, and maybe growing some greens – like kale or spinach, or something to keep the air fresh and utilize the space as a sort of greenhouse. I think that was a run-on sentence…

Trying to treat the soundproof booth for acoustics is not in my realm of expertise. I had no idea I’d be called to learn the science of sound waves in order to become a writer, but that appears to be part of my route. I spent a long time pushing foam squares into the walls and ceiling, hoping the adhesive would make them stick (cue foreboding foreshadowing music).

How Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy

Maybe this title is a little misleading. In some ways, I think I’ve involved other people, because I’m often so uncertain about how to move forward, but I do think having good counsel is important – and having to communicate strategies forces clarity where I would otherwise continue on in cloudiness.

The post down below from 99 days ago made me laugh, because I had just scratched my wrist right before opening it (technically on 11/26) – I had to deal with a poison ivy infested bush yesterday, and I’m sure hoping its leaves were dormant…
