My Journey to Become a Writer 11/21/2024 Post #326

It says a lot about how sore my wrists were today that by the time late afternoon came around I decided I’d rather face the blustery snowstorm than sit inside with my computer any longer.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

  • Did Day 326 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab
  • Edited a whole bunch more of my audiobook (which was pretty hard, because it’s both emotional and tedious – I’m currently covering the last month of my mom’s life)
  • Worked on a lesson for teaching story structure in an easily remembered way

Research & Development I’m Doing to Improve My Writing & Business Strategy

I’ve been doing a deep dive into story structure, so that I can become more efficient at writing, instead of rambling.

This process has included taking classes, reading/listening to writing books, and trying to develop my own strategic style – along with a curriculum to teach storytelling concepts to others. We’ll see if anything comes from all this effort.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago makes it feel like this book about my mom is taking forever to finish, but then I realize it really hasn’t been that long. I’m grateful for all the skills I’ve gained in the last ninety-nine days, and that God has granted me strength and stamina to continue on this course.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
