My Journey to Become a Writer 11/07/2024 Post #312

Maybe this journal should be more about how to become an editor, because that seems to be how I spend most of my time.

Between making adjustments to my audiobook and manuscript, I’m not getting much actual writing done.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did do Day 312 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab. Then I went through the rest of my manuscript using Pro Writing Aid as an editing tool. I’m not too sure about the “curly quotation marks” – I think I’m going to have to do a bit more research before I finish that part. Next, I used Twisted Wave to edit more chapters in my audiobook and then participated in a writing class. After that, I talked to a friend about a logo and business ideas, and finally, I wasted about a half hour on Instagram…

Research & Development I’m Doing to Improve My Writing & Business Strategy

There are several tools I’m trying to learn at once: Scrivener, Twisted Wave, Affinity, Pro Writing Aid, QuickBooks…

Besides that, I’m taking an outline class, participating in a writing group, and kicking myself for not getting back to my Project 24 participation…

Oh, and I’m supposed to be creating content for my new website – and I’ve been listening to a couple of business strategy audiobooks. Todays is called “Blue Oceans”, or something similar…

I know I have too much on my plate. Prioritizing is continually a major topic in my mind.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago makes it clear to me that I’m still taking on too much at once…

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
