My Journey to Become a Writer 11/04/2024 Post #309

Oh wow, I’m tired. This darkness from the time change makes me want to go to sleep at 5 p.m.

I’m up past 7:30, but the wind and rain make me want to call it a night.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 309 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab after waking up way too early with a head full of ideas. My friend and I had a marketing/branding/logo talk late into the night (well – I think it was until after nine). That got my noggin goin’, and I was chompin’ at the bit this morning to start making progress.

I listened to a Chick-fil-a book on marketing for most of the day while I did various tasks around the house – mostly in the realm of shelving.

I ordered a book from a friend that just published a children’s book she wrote, and I sorted through a bundle of Chick-fil-a books to think through some branding ideas.

My Current Home Management Strategies to Help Stay Organized as a Writer

I worked on four different sets of shelves today – I’m pretty excited about getting those organized. Plus, I made a chocolate cake for my writers’ group. My Home Ec teacher, Mrs. Manly (aka Mrs. Womanly), would be so proud.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago makes me glad for one day a week to definitely wind down.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
