My Journey to Become a Writer 10/28/2024 Post #302

It’s 4:48 p.m., and my eyes are starting to hurt.

It’s funny how it’s such a revelation to me that I should use that as a signal to wrap up my computer work.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

  • Did Day 302 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab
  • Sent in a detailed plan to my website designer for how I want each page to appear
  • Met with another writer to help in her quest to accomplish something through IngramSpark
  • Did some brainstorming about marketing her books
  • Handed over a short manuscript for her to edit (we’re currently bartering services with one another)
  • Bought the Affinity software bundle – I’m planning to use this for publishing, but might learn the other features eventually, too
  • Found a booklet I want to use as inspiration for a course – it was buried in a box of files
  • Contacted three business owners to ask advice on some upcoming decisions
  • Filed some papers and opened my receipt box, so that I finish that task before too long…

My Current Home Management Strategies to Help Stay Organized as a Writer

I still like making the first half of my Mondays a time to get house jobs done. There’s something about accomplishing tasks to make a more comfortable environment that takes away stress. Speaking of which, I’m hoping to shut this down soon and go start getting the garage ready – my plan is to empty the Storage Unit this week, so I need to make things ready…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago makes me smirk – I’m still a bit overrun by small jobs, but I did get some done today, so that made me feel better.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
