My Journey to Become a Writer 10/10/2024 Post #284

I don’t remember if I forgot to write this, or if I was just too tired. Today is the eleventh. Yesterday I was worn down to a nub.

I went to meet with some other writers and didn’t get home until late.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 284 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab. I shared my work with some other writers and received their feedback. By the end of our meeting I was wiped out. I was trying to decide if I should go back to my manuscript and cut a chapter into smaller chunks, but I really didn’t want to do that. Hungry, and too tired to drive all the way back home, I decided to get a burger. There’s always the struggle in my head about spending money like that, but I’m trying to trust the Lord “as my Husband” and decided that “going out to dinner” is a very normal thing.

While I was sitting outside, I could barely keep my eyes open. A man on the sidewalk across the street came strolling along with his stereo on full blast. The song was, “Let the Circle Be Unbroken”. That tune definitely reminds me of my mom, and several other loved ones I have lost. It blessed me. My question had been, “Should I break the circle in my chapter by splitting it into shorter sections?” Hearing that song made me want to keep it as is.

I was about to pay for my burger, but the waitress said, “That sweet woman paid your bill.” I was astonished and blessed.

Crossing the street, I looked up at a store front to see the sentence, “God Is Writing Your Story”. He is indeed.

Research & Development I’m Doing to Improve My Writing & Business Strategy

My mind is a blank. When I meet with other writers, I take mental notes about what’s helpful and what’s not.

I’ve still been delving into Genesis to get a better understanding of God’s process as the ultimate Creator. Surely, His strategy can help me become a more effective Content Creator – and more content in the process…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

The post down below from 99 days ago is encouraging, because back then, I was still thinking about recording my audiobook, and I’ve gotten that done…

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
