The more I become “like a writer” the more likely I become to not post this.

It’s the 4th – I forgot…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

• I did Day 277 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab.  
• I wrote out a list of shots for my photo shoot, gathered props, wrote story points to go with them – tried to structure my business for the future…
• I went to the Wabash History Museum where my local writing group gave a presentation. I read a poem about my mom and made some nice connections with local people. We made plans to speak at another event soon.
• I planned to meet another writer at a restaurant, but before we connected, I bumped into several people I know – one of which was my mom’s classmate. When she heard I’d read a poem at the presentation, she wanted to hear it. That was sweet.
• I got a manuscript back that had been edited.
• I signed up for the 30-Day Outline class with Alan Watt.
• I raced around the house trying to ready myself for the photoshoot, get the lawn cut, try to fill the gas tanks (all those safety features on gas cans make things so much worse and tempt me to say words I shouldn’t)…
• I decided on clothes, staged places, and structured story points (I wove a chair for one), etc…
• Partway through the photo shoot I realized I really hadn’t even looked in the mirror. Who knows how they will turn out.
• I can’t even remember what else happened, but I about collapsed.

Research & Development I’m Doing to Improve My Writing & Business Strategy

I signed up for the 30-Day Outline, so that I can work on making templates for my books – not to make them cookie-cutter, but to better hone and make them sing. Okay, I’m so done…
