Well, it’s 9:18 p.m., but I feel kind of justified in staring at my screen this long, because I finally managed to get a “subscribe section” set up on this site.

I decided to bite the bullet and go with Mailchimp, despite the cost, because of how it can be integrated with QuickBooks and Canva. I’m hoping that will help streamline my future efforts – I figure it’s cheaper than hiring an employee…

It was a big step of faith to add yet another “subscription fee” to my monthly bank statement. We shall see if it pays off…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 274 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab, celebrated the completion of my audiobook (I still feel pretty subdued about my excitement, but I suppose I tend to be that way about a lot of things). Other than that, I mostly tried to figure out this Mailchimp move – and I did talk to a fellow writer, so that was fun – and revamped my website some more – and wrote this run-on sentence…

My Current Home Management Strategies to Help Stay Organized as a Writer

It’s rained a lot lately, so most mornings I’ve been pulling weeds while listening to audiobooks. My ingestion of Audible has increased quite a bit lately – it’s helped me study what I like and what I don’t about different narrators. After listening to Cal Newport, I took Facebook and Instagram off my phone. I can’t say I’ve missed it much.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
