My Journey to Become a Writer 09/25/2024 Post #269

I just wrote yesterday’s post, because I’d completely forgotten it, so while I’m here, I might as well get today’s done.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 269 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and met with someone who plans to edit one of my older manuscripts. I don’t even know for sure if I’ll end up republishing it, but I wanted to get a second set of eyes on it to help me decide.

I’ve been listening to “Digital Minimalism” by Cal Newport, and am seriously considering scaling way back on all posting type projects until I can get my priorities straightened, namely, having my home and office in good working order and getting manuscripts cranked off the publishing conveyor belt. I’ve been spreading myself way too thin.

My Content Management Strategies to Create and Schedule Manuscripts and Posts

I’m considering going through the 30-Day Outline class with Alan Watt in October. This week I did purchase Scrivener in hopes of being able to organize my manuscripts into better order. We shall see…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago is a good reminder to me of where I’ve been, but the one associated with it made my heart sink. I removed it a few days ago, because I’m preparing to launch my book… now I need to figure out what to do about all of those links…

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
