My Journey to Become a Writer 09/14/2024 Post #258

Today was a day of mostly getting organized around my house.

I do think it helps me function better, if I only do “the writer thing” five days a week, then fiddle around the house for one, and finally take the last day to rest.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 258 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab, printed a piece that I plan to practice reading for an upcoming event, found a copy of an older manuscript that I’m going to give to someone on Monday to edit, and finally copied a particular chapter from the book I’m currently working on, so that I can hopefully get it to Daniel O’Donnell, since he’s featured in that part of my book.

I wrote a cover letter, asking for his approval, since I’m quoting a song of his in that chapter. I’m also hoping my words will encourage him. I feel a little foolish doing this, but I think it’s important.

How Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy

It’s nice to have other people see the big picture when I become myopic with the many tasks I’m trying to accomplish. Allowing others into my plans and having them help me stay on course has been good for me.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago feels like another admonition that I’m trying to move too fast on some things…

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
