My Journey to Become a Writer 09/07/2024 Post #251

It’s been quite a week. I feel like I’m making a little traction – plus I started tap dancing lessons to strengthen my parasympathetic system. These posts seem slightly pathetic, especially considering all the stuff I’m too lazy to say (or don’t have time to express).

The effort to write and publish daily has been a good discipline for me, but at the end of the day, maybe it’s just words.

I guess it could be worse…

It has been good for me to look back on where I’ve been. Today is Saturday, and I tried once more to totally shut down office work” for the weekend. As far as writing and administration are concerned, it was pretty much a success. Lots of sticks are now stacked in my yard, and I’ve glued a chair that I hope will hold together at my desk. I did listen to a business audio book on brand building while I worked, and that kept my mind churning with ideas on what I want this site to be.

I also listened to another book that keeps making me cringe, because the author is so condescending in her writing style and recording voice. Multiple times she’s mentioned being an elementary school teacher, and I can tell… I feel like I should be seated at one of those tiny desks while she’s talking. Listening to books I don’t like has helped train me in what not to do – so that’s one benefit. I can tell she also has a lot of extra words. Maybe I do, too…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 251 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and glued together a desk chair…

How Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy

I tend to be an ideas person. It helps to bounce them off somebody else, so that I can be reminded to slow down and not go in a hundred directions at once. Hopefully soon I can start implementing some of them. For now, my strategy is to keep categorizing my chaos, and cultivating it into a space where I can create, in order to encourage others…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

The post down below from 99 days ago makes me glad it doesn’t hurt to sneeze anymore.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
