My Journey to Become a Writer 09/04/2024 Post #248

My eyes are feeling pretty strained, so I’m going to shoot this out and sign off.

It’s 4:30. I’m pretty excited about finishing up so early (not that I won’t do more, but at least this will be done).

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 248 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and recorded more of my manuscript about my mom’s journey through pancreatic cancer and dementia. I’m getting to some pretty hard parts. Maybe that’s why I feel so deflated this afternoon. I’ll be glad when this book is done, but the process has been good for me.

My Content Management Strategies to Create and Schedule Manuscripts and Posts

Today my audio editor and I decided to stagger recording to every other day, so that I can keep up with editing details – and rest my voice (and my heart). This has been a hard project, but I’m looking ahead to others I want to tackle next, so I’m trying to keep a steady pace.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
