My Journey to Become a Writer 08/31/2024 Post #244

It’s nearly 9 p.m. on Saturday night. I don’t have anything too exciting to do, but I think this isn’t what I want to be doing, so I’m gonna log off super soon…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 244 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and did a lot of planning – some of the plans stuck, and some got totally scrapped. I’m hoping September will be a month when I can build a more even-tempered routine and keep more regular office hours instead of starting so early only to end obnoxiously late.

How Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy

Sticking with a plan and having others help me stay on course when I veer away from it (or get too overwhelmed) has helped a lot. I have more to say on that, but lately I have had to just set aside what I hoped this blog would be for the sake of building a body of content, which is my bigger priority.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

The post down below from 99 days ago talks about my trip to Switzerland and my mom’s memorial service. I feel like life hasn’t slowed since all that was going on. At some point I’m going to have to get better about pushing the brakes myself, so that I can catch my breath.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
