My Journey to Become a Writer 08/25/2024 Post #238

A slow tongue is sometimes better than a quick wit.

Quick witted quips can make me laugh in a moment but leave me feeling dimwitted later – especially when I worry that I might have accidentally discouraged or embarrassed somebody else.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 238 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and took my weekly day off.

What I’m Doing as Chief Operating Officer of My Writing Business to Move Forward

I’ve been thinking a lot about the struggle to “spin all the plates”, but I have also been reflecting on how God keeps everything spinning: the planet around the sun, the Earth around it’s axis, the moon around the Earth, the hands around the clock… hours, minutes, seconds…the hands of time.

The daily decisions of what to do with my hands with the time I have been handed…

My prayer is that the Lord would give me wisdom in how to best divide my time – as He has modeled in making years, seasons, months, weeks, days, and moments…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago was written on the last day of my writing retreat to Tuscany, Italy. I wrapped up that day by flying to Spain.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
