My Journey to Become a Writer 08/15/2024 Post #228

Today was one of those days where I had to ask myself, “Do I really have the faith to keep moving forward with this?”

I could totally get a nine to five high paying job, but then I’d have to put my writing projects and plans on the backburner again.

Not having a regular income is a scary thing – especially when slapped by unexpected medical expenses…

Still, I believe this is what I’m called to do, so I’m going to keep doing my best to “become a writer”.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 228 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and did an abbreviated recording session. My voice just wouldn’t cooperate today, so we cut the time short. Every few sentences I needed to cough. Hopefully the next round will be better.

Research & Development I’m Doing to Improve My Writing & Business Strategy

Lately I’ve been putting a major emphasis on improving my editing skills in hopes of adding that as a side hustle for future income. I’m grateful for fellow writers who are allowing me to take a look at their work and practice offering feedback.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago was written about a special day I spent in France (during my stay in Switzerland):

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
