Yesterday my brain would barely work, but I did get some extra edits done in the morning to rewrite my rewrite.
Stepping away from a piece can do wonders for seeing mistakes – especially when it’s been worked on from before dawn to past midnight, with a pause for a project and a dip in a pond in between.
What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?
I did Day 220 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and began reading my manuscript out loud to myself before heading to the recording studio. That helped me hear word repetitions and awkward phrases better than simply reading does. Then I recorded about twenty pages of my audiobook. It went really well, and I’m so encouraged by the progress that’s being made – especially that I got connected with someone who knows how to do editing. That’s a huge relief.
My Content Management Strategies to Create and Schedule Manuscripts and Posts
I’ve let social media fall by the wayside for awhile – mostly focusing on finishing this manuscript in audio and print form. I’m also glad to be over a big speedbump by now having two story submissions done. Hopefully soon I can get back to a more even pace and begin creating more content – and finishing memoirs.
