My Journey to Become a Writer 07/20/2024 Post #202

Yesterday was a doozey of a day, and I got in late, so I had run way out of words by then.

It’s a big accomplishment for me to check in like I did, but not go into guilt mode to get everything on the page.

I’m learning to not push myself so hard.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 202 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and practiced reading a piece I’m preparing for an open mic session at an upcoming Writers’ Conference.

Other than that, I listened to some hilarious stories from people I know and worked at pulling weeds in silence, so I could have some time to think.

How Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy

I try not to let the spur of the moment “me” dictate my days. Making a plan and adding in accountability has helped me be less scattered. I’m still a bit frazzled (or maybe more than a bit), but little by little I’m subduing the areas that are unkempt and getting order. It’s the same way with weeds in my garden.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post down below from 99 days ago is the first I’ve had to add in for quite a while. Before, I had these posts all pre-formatted. I guess it’s time to dedicate a day to sitting down and getting future posts situated again…

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
