Wow – writing this week sucked the life out of me, and also turned on the tear duct faucets in my face. Some days are like that. It was a good release; but involved going back in time through some painful moments in my story.
So often, I try to do everything I can to “earn love”; but don’t slow down enough to let people love me in return.
And that mentality that it’s a commodity, like money to be earned or spent, is mistaken thinking, too…
Sitting back, it is so much easier to see the threads of redemption from painful times, just by picking up a pen and reflecting.
Our pain is God’s paint for creating beautiful stories.
What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?
I did Day 174 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and sent a rough draft I finished to four different parties, seeking feedback, if anybody was inclined to give it.
I also scheduled a week’s worth of daily Instagram posts. I’d like to get way ahead on that task; but have been taking baby steps to try and figure out how it works.

Having a CEO is Helping My Writing & Business Strategy
I tend to change directions a lot. I’m a seventh-guesser by birth, and so it’s helped to write down a plan and communicate it to people who will keep me accountable to stay on a steady course, instead of darting from side to side.
Speaking of which, it’s 7:42 on a Saturday night, I think it’s time to shut this screen down for the day and close up shop.
Thanks for reading what I’m writing,
Jody Susan
