My Journey to Become a Writer 06/21/2024 Post #173

It’s 10:33 P.M., so I’m keeping this short.

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 173 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab.

I worked on my “pandemic” piece and printed off a rough draft that I need to whittle down some.

I participated in Quiet Friday with L.A. Writers’ Lab.

I had a call with someone who is helping me keep my business plan on track.

I went to a birthday party – which doesn’t have a lot to do with writing; but it’s why I’m working on this so late.

As for Instagram, here’s what I stuck on there yesterday:

A bathroom sign where the people are crossing their legs like they really need to go.
I guess “WC” could also stand for “We Can’t (hold it anymore)”.

My Marketing & Distribution Strategies for Publishing & Improving My Platform

The reason I have been working on this piece about the Covid time period is that I plan to submit it for publication as a collaboration with other writers. I’ve also been working to build my social media platform by pre-scheduling a post for each day of the week. So far, I can see that it has increased my reach.

I did report the lady that commented “I hate you” for my egg video; but Instagram said that’s not considered hate speech, which totally cracked me up.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

The post below, from 99 days ago, helps remind me that I’m further along than I was back then:

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
