What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 149 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and worked on formatting my manuscript, which I’m calling, “Can Cancer Be a Gift?” Little by little it’s coming together.

My Office Management Strategy to Cut Down on Distractions as a Writer

I sat down today and worked on a budget, going through bills to see what my monthly expenses have been and making calls concerning ones that weren’t making sense.

Tuesdays are when I try to get my “office duties” done – like paperwork and paying attention to emails; but I’ve realized once a week isn’t cutting it for that kind of stuff, so I’ve scheduled in one hour per weekday to work on that category as well. So far, it seems to have helped. I’m only two days in, so it’s hard to tell for sure.

I like to see landmark posts like this one down below. Number fifty seemed somehow monumental when I published 02/19/2024. I just went back and reread it. I’m glad I did. It gave me a good perspective. I’m still far from my goals; but I can see that progress has been made. My living room and office aren’t a mess anymore, and maybe I’m a little less of one myself. 🙂
