My Journey to Become a Writer 05/27/2024 Post #148

Last week I was pretty scramble-headed after getting home from the other side of the Atlantic. I realized this morning that I failed to log in to L.A. Writer’s Lab three times last week.

One of those days I didn’t write (I did lose six hours that day due to traveling West); but on two of them I did write and forgot to log in.

Part of the problem was procrastination. My routine was way off, and I was struggling to get back into a rhythm.

Today was much better. I regrouped with a more well-rounded schedule. I’m trying to be more proactive about pacing myself. We’ll see if this new routine works a bit better and helps my body, brain, and eyes not get so tired.

Here’s a post I published today from Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. You can click here to see the video and hear the music:

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 148 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab and continued work on formatting my manuscript. Little details like matching all the dates: the “nd”, “th”, and “rd” are little somethings I hadn’t thought about.

August 2nd

August 3rd

August 4th

I don’t know that it matters if those letters are big or small; but I do think it matters that they are consistent.

Hopefully, I can be consistent, too – in more than just matching numbers.

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

It’s funny to look back at 99 Days ago and remember all those questions I was trying to answer every single day. It was a little unrealistic. I’m still not as far along as I’d like to be; but at least I’m still moving forward:

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
