My Journey to Become a Writer 05/23/2024 Post #144

I’m laying on my living room floor with two laptops trying to figure out the most efficient way to format my manuscript for Amazon KDP.

And I’m having trouble keeping my eyes open.

It’s 5:15 P.M. here in Indiana; but 11:15 P.M. in Tuscany, so last week this would have been way past my bedtime.

I tell myself that; but I’m determined to delay going to bed for at least a little bit – after all, the sun won’t set for nearly another four hours (I put my face down on a couch cushion after that semi-colon, and was only semi-conscious, so I’d better wrap this up).

By the way, here’s a glimpse from my trip…

What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 144 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab, and I got the chapter headings sort of situated in my manuscript. Figuring out formatting is a slow going process for me right now – maybe my brain will get a bit sharper if I get some extra sleep, so I’m gonna go ahead and sign off for now…

Thanks for reading what I’m writing,

Jody Susan

Here’s a look back at 99 days ago and a glimpse at how our family’s story wound up on the front page of The St. Louis Post Dispatch that day:

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
