What Did I Accomplish Today to Be a Writer?

I did Day 142 of the 100 Words a Day Writing Challenge 2024 through L.A. Writers’ Lab. I also met with my writing group. We’re in the midst of putting together a collaboration of short stories and poems. More on that to come.

I spent some time adding Alt Text to my manuscript. It has been a long process to get comfortable adding this detail in on my images; but I feel like I finally have the hang of it.

My Office Management Strategy to Cut Down on Distractions as a Writer

This is the subheading for today, and I can’t even begin to cover it. I feel very tired and distracted right now and just downright dizzy when I think about trying to get my emails, voicemails, texts, etc… taken care of. Mostly for now I am trying not to look at my phone until later in the day, and I have a timer set on Instagram, which admittedly I sometimes ignore; but at least that little fifteen minute reminder is there to keep me aware.

I plan to expand this part of my posts sometime soon; but for now I’m trying not to over tax myself. Plus, my lawn needs some attention, so I’m signing out.
