My mom has gotten some good visits with people over the last few months. She has loved seeing friends and family and is still making new ones – even in the midst of Hospice.

We have seen a marked decline in her memory, voice strength, and energy lately (it’s been very noticeable to her, too). She still wants to see people – and doesn’t want to miss out on anything; but has a lot less stamina, so she needs longer breaks between visits and can only endure them for short durations, or she winds up completely wiped out and wishing she hadn’t overdone things. It’s sometimes hard to find a balance since visiting with people is one of her favorite things. If you happen to speak with her and sense she’s tired, encouraging her to rest is probably the most helpful thing right now. Thank you so much for all of your love and support. – Jody

Predictably, Beth’s doing super well, since the Cardinals just made the playoffs. They ought to put her on TV as a commentator.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
