The Doctor Said Her Brain is Unremarkable

If you missed my last post, you may want to find out why my mom once made me want to cover my head completely – at a local dog show…

October 6th, 2021 – Post #20

My mom probably won’t approve of me posting this picture, but here she is protecting her head from acorns. I really think there are squirrels, up there in the trees above their back deck, trying to see how many times they can hit a human.

My mom, trying to protect her head from the acorns, after losing her hair to chemo.
Those Squirrels are Rather Vindictive When They’re Throwing Acorns

MRI Brain Scan

We got the results back from her brain MRI today. They were unremarkable, so of course, her loving family had some remarks to make, like:

They checked her brain, and the MRI showed that there was nothing there.

She says she knew that the whole time.

Continuing with Chemotherapy

Today was her sixth round of chemo. The plan for next week is to take a week off from treatment and get a CT scan of her pancreas. On October 18th, the cancer board will be meeting to discuss their opinion on how she should proceed, and her doctor plans to inform her about that on October 21st.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.
