Funeral Arrangements – Beth Purcell

May 15th, 2023 – Post #82

We plan to have services for my mom in both Missouri and Indiana.

The St. Louis service will be held this coming Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at Kirkwood United Methodist, located at 201 West Adams Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122.

Bopp Chapel will be handling the arrangements.

There will be a visitation and viewing from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., with a funeral service from 11 a.m. until noon. We will be serving a light lunch at noon for anyone who would like to stay and visit.

Grandstaff-Hentgen will be handling the arrangements for the Indiana services.

We have not finalized plans for the visitation, service, and burial in Wabash; but that will most likely take place the following week.

I will continue to update this site, as we solidify plans. I apologize, if I have not responded to calls, texts, or comments – it’s been kind of a whirlwind. Thank you for your patience and all the care you have shown. Love, Jody

I'm not sure what to say here: I once got second place in a dog-look-alike-contest? I know how to fold a fitted sheet? I'm pretty much a poster child for social backwardness - at least as far as social media is concerned; but I have some stories I think I'm supposed to share and am attempting to do that here, in this space.

  2. We are just learning the news of Beth’s cancer and passing. My husband and I lived next door to Beth and Dave for five years. She was the kindest neighbor and so full of light. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a gem. We will never forget her. We still have the “Goodnight Moon” she gave our daughter when she was born while we lived next door.

    1. Thank you, Whitney and Rob – she loved being your neighbor. We still laugh about the time she called the wrong Rob (in Colorado) asking if he wanted to come on over for a piece of pie. He said yes; but thought it would take him a while to get to the house.

  3. Hoping to make it to the service or the lunch. Wish I could come to the visitation, but I am flying in from Hawaii that morning! Want to give my condolences to all of you! 🙏🙏

    1. I’m glad you were able to make it into the group picture, even if you couldn’t be there in person! 🙂 What timing you have!!! 🙂 Hope you had a good trip.

  4. I’m in Florida so won’t be able to make the service. I know it’s been a long journey for you all. Holding you up in prayer!
