My mom was having quite a bit of discomfort last night and this morning, so my dad took her to the ER. The doctors decided to place a stent in her gallbladder duct. It sounds like that procedure brought some relief. She will be spending the night in the hospital for observation.

The gallbladder team just came through. They said the pancreatic stent is probably what caused the problem – it blocked the gallbladder from draining properly. They put this second stent in, so the gallbladder will drain straight to the small intestine and bypass the billiary duct.
The gallbladder team has signed discharge papers on their end, but have to have clearance from the Billiary team before they can say she is free to go home.
She is feeling better. 🙂

My mom’s back home, and we’ve had to remind her a couple times that she probably shouldn’t be in a pillow fight with her grandkids this soon after surgery, so I’d say she’s definitely feeling better.
